Dr. Bikramjit Dhar

Dr. Bikramjit Dhar is a senior Otolaryngologist whose career represents the evolution of specialised ENT care in North Bengal. With over 30 years in healthcare — more than two decades of which are dedicated to ENT surgery — he has built a reputation for precision, compassion, and clinical reliability.

His academic journey began at Eden Hospital, Medical College Kolkata — Asia's first institution to impart Western medical education — where he completed his MBBS in 1996. He then pursued postgraduate specialisation, obtaining his MS in ENT from the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi in 2003.

Before entering private consultancy, Dr. Dhar served extensively within the West Bengal Health Services as a Medical Officer and ENT Specialist. This government tenure gave him exposure to an exceptionally wide pathological spectrum, essential for mastering the nuances of regional health challenges including the high prevalence of chronic rhino-sinusitis and middle ear infections in the Ganges-Brahmaputra delta climate of Malda.

For the past 15+ years, Dr. Dhar has been the Consultant ENT Surgeon at Sonoscan Healthcare Pvt Ltd, Malda — the largest diagnostic service provider in the Eastern zone of India. He is proficient in both endoscopic and laryngoscopic diagnosis, enabling real-time visual data integration into patient care, and is recognised for his expertise in FESS, microear surgery, and the full range of ENT surgical interventions.
